Wide Area Network Measurement

Overview

We have broad interests in the areas of measurement, modeling and analysis of wide area network behavior.  Our current projects include:

Understanding the characteristics of wide area packet dynamics is a continuing challenge.  We are currently pursuing a number of projects aimed at measuring and modeling packet dynamics more accurately.  Our specific interests are in packet loss behavior, small time scale traffic models, and characteristics of the behaviors of queues.  We use both our internal and external measurement systems to study these problems.
